DESCRIPTION AND USE

Treat infection in cuts, minor burns, blisters, wounds and abrasions: minor infections of the nails: tinea and other fungal bacterial infections of the skin: impetigo (school sores), chicken pox, blisters and boils.

DOSAGE

Apply using cotton bud, cotton wool or gauze as required. Sufficient ointment should be applied to maintain microbicidal activity in the presence of blood, pus, serum or mucosal secretions. Treated areas may be bandaged. Colour outlines the treated area and activity so as the colour fades more ointment should be applied. Minor Burns: Where skin is reddened or unbroken, apply liberally to the affected area. Do not use on extensive burn areas.Blisters: For broken and unbroken blisters apply ointment liberally to the affected area. Chicken Pox Sores: Apply twice daily to the affected area until infection clears in order to minimise secondary infection and scarring. Boils: Cover the entire boil area twice a day until the infection clears.

Povidone-Iodine U.S.P. 10% (equivalent to 1% available Iodine)

WARNINGS

Avoid appllication to deep wounds and large areas of roken skin as excessive absorption of iodine may occur. Riodine should be used for for infection control of wounds, rather than general wound management. For exteranl use only. If skin irritation or rash occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Known hypersensitivity to Iodine
